"I had a vision of mini-forests in millions of back gardens."
Robert Hart
"Edible forest gardening is the art and science of putting plants together in woodland-like patterns that forge mutually beneficial relationships, creating a garden ecosystem that is more than the sum of its parts. You can grow fruits, nuts, vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, other useful plants, and animals in a way that mimics natural ecosystems."

A rare opportunity to not only learn about the theory behind forest gardening, but also to participate in the planting of one at a developing permaculture site on the edge of beautiful Dartmoor. Please note: This is a course unlikely to be repeated at this venue as the planting is a one-off activity. |
 |
This practical hands-on course will inform & inspire participants to plan, establish and maintain a forest garden.
The five day course will cover:
- A day of forest garden theory (& site visit to Martin Crawford's superb forest garden).
- A day of designing the forest garden layout, using permaculture principles.
- Half a day of tree planting & after care tuition.
- A day of planting out the trees & shrubs.
- Additional sessions on pruning trees & shrubs, plus propagation techniques.
- And much, much more!
